About this collection

Land Between the Lakes Photograph Collection consist of scanned photographs of buildings removed or destroyed by the Tennessee Valley Authority prior to the creation of the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. The collection contains images of structures located in Stewart County, Tennessee and the Kentucky counties of Lyon and Trigg from the turn of the 20th Century to 1964.

The scanned images were donated by the Calloway County Public Library of Murray, Kentucky to the Murray State University Special Collections & Archives in January of 2012. Scans were made by Tripp Scott at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area Library & Archives.
